Since its inception, Grantx has been dedicated to democratizing access to grant funding, enabling individuals and organizations of all sizes to optimize their grant-seeking efforts and end the days of impactful work being held back by the burden of the process for funding it.
As a former grant seeker, Jacob was leading a project that would help lower the power sector’s environmental impact in Texas. Motivated by the chance to make a difference, he was working an additional +30hrs/week on top of his regular responsibilities in order to take on the task of finding and gaining funding for the project. The team knew that there was funding for the work they were doing, but it was difficult to find grants that were a good match, and even more difficult to apply to.
After weeks of working long-hours and balancing his usual work with the additional demands of grant seeking, Jacob was directed to abandon the project due to the amount of time and resources that would be required to fund it. The team was heart-broken and shocked by the difficulty that they faced getting the grant funding they needed.
When Jacob asked if there was a better way, and was given a solemn shake of the head it all became clear:

When Jacob set out to build Grantx as the solution to the grant funding process he spoke with numerous grant seekers including Dr. Michael Sacks, a world authority on a sub-topic of cardiovascular research, to learn more about the problems that people were facing. In the time that they spoke, one thing was made terribly clear: Dr. Sacks was desperate for help, stuck between the need to support his work (and himself) with grants, but being forced to neglect his work in order to allocate the time required to fund it.
This story of impactful work being held back by the needs of the grant funding process is all too common: experts and professionals, like Dr. Sacks, spending the majority of their time navigating the tedious and competitive grant-seeking process, with little time left for the work they are passionate about. Recognizing the inefficiencies of the traditional grant-seeking process, Grantx set out to revolutionize the industry by harnessing the latest technologies.

Jacob brings a wealth of experience improving the systems and processes related to the grant seeking practices of his previous organization, where he also served as the industry expert on the adoption of AI technologies. His deep understanding of industry trends and grant-seeking practices serves as the foundation for the Grantx’s innovative approach to securing vital funding for organizations.
Chief Operating Officer
Lindell leverages his deep expertise in Business Strategy and AI/Data Science to drive innovation and streamline operations. With advanced degrees from MIT, Harvard, and The Imperial College of London, Lindell has a rich background in technological strategy, including founding and selling TAG, a company that enhanced supply chain management with smart contracts and deep learning. His extensive experience includes roles as a board member, strategic consultant, and project manager, with a strong track record in managing high-growth teams and funding rounds.

With 8 years of experience in consulting and consumer applications at Accenture, Favor, and Yeti, he excels in coordinating interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions. Matthew's expertise in front-end development, back-end services, DevOps, and AI/ML drives Grantx's mission to streamline and automate the grant application process.
