We are thrilled to announce that Kevin Wu has joined Grantx as a Founding Engineer, bringing with him a robust background in Fintech, consulting, and a passion for using technology to drive meaningful change. Beyond his professional background, Kevin experienced the pains of the grant-seeking process firsthand while studying Computer Science at NYU. There he became painfully aware of just how tedious and time-consuming it can be to find grant funding when success is often dictated by the volume of applications and the time invested. As one of the early developers on our team, Kevin will play a critical role in shaping the AI and automation tools at the heart of Grantx’s mission to streamline and revolutionize the grant funding process for universities, researchers, and nonprofits.

Bridging Fintech Expertise with AI-Powered Grant Solutions

Kevin Wu’s journey into the tech industry has been marked by significant accomplishments in both Fintech and consulting. His experiences at industry-leading firms like Citadel, McKinsey & Company, and BNY Mellon have provided him with a deep technical foundation and a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions. At McKinsey, Kevin developed mission-critical software for Fortune 500 companies, utilizing cutting-edge Generative AI (GenAI) and cloud-native technologies to enhance client capabilities. Notably, his leadership in adopting GenAI software led to a 7% boost in developer efficiency within just five months and contributed to securing a contract valued at over $1 billion.

Kevin’s focus at Grantx will be on applying his extensive experience in automating processes and reducing operational risks to the development of our AI-driven grant management tools. His expertise in creating user-centric generative AI solutions that deliver tangible results will be instrumental in helping Grantx achieve its goal of reducing the time and resources required for finding grant funding.

In addition to his professional achievements, Kevin has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service and education. During his time at NYU, he led a team of developers to create a course management platform for a foundational engineering course serving over 500 students annually. This platform not only streamlined course administration but also enriched the student learning experience, earning Kevin the Excellence in Innovation Award.
